I just finished reading this book by Diane Setterfield. It is not the kind of book I would normally choose, but I recently joined a bookclub and it is assigned reading. 
Look at our poor little Abby standing right in the middle of the evil foxtails! If only we'd known when we took this picture. We had to take Jasmine to the vet to have some removed from her swollen, painful paw. We'll be more careful next time we go into a field full of weeds.
My granddaughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed today. I made this little kitty that she had paid particular attention to in the book Super-Cute Crochet. Beneath it is a knitted Ballband Dishcloth posing as a kitty blanket. She clutched it to her during recovery. Keeping her down for two weeks won't be easy.
My husband is calling this his birthday and Father's Day present, but he knows better...
I normally love rain in June, but this has to be one of the wettest, dreariest Junes in history.
I received a cash award at work and decided to splurge and spend it on something I've wanted for a long time - a good sewing machine. I had in mind a Bernina, but when I went sewing machine shopping, I saw an enlightening demonstration of this machine. Who would've ever known that Brother had a high end line of machines? Kind of like a Lexus - Toyota relationship.
This was planted by my neighbor on the border of our yards. I think it's interesting - I need to remember to ask the name.
I'm cheating a little, because this photo was actually taken by a friend who lives a couple of neighborhoods west of me. He sent this by email. The rainbow is right over my house! So cool...
I'm hearing the sound of freedom as I write. There is an air show going on over Hill Air Force Base today. My husband thrives on this stuff, so he is enjoying the air show somewhere with a great view, while I stay at home with the furry kids in relative peace and quiet.
